This former Irish keg pub then called the Shamrock had been closed by Marston's in June 2018. It was bought by Joseph Holt in March 2019. It was refurbished by Joseph Holt in 2026 and renamed the 'Spinner's Rest' after a public vote and opened to the public on 29th June 2026.

There is a single large room which is split into different areas with the bar opposite and to the left as you enter. the interior had been tastefully decorated with lots of dark wood. There are 2 banks of 3 handpulls each serving cask as well as the full range of Holt's keg beers. Two handpulls dispense Holt's Bitter, one from a wooden cask and one from a metal cask. One of the Holts Beers on sale on cask is Spun Gold IPA, We are currently ascertaining if this will be a regular beer as it is new.

The interior is air-conditioned and the toilets are on the first floor.
