A huge converted cinema, capacity of well over 1000 customers, 3 separate bars, the main one as you enter, one on the raised area to the rear of the pub and the third on the mezzanine level. Each bar has its own cellar but the beers in the back bar are duplicated in the upstairs bar. May be fewer handpumps in operation in the week and full 8 at weekends. There is often less cask ale variety in the back and upper bars than the main bar. Opening for breakfast at 8am (with alcohol served from 9am) the pub attracts a variety of clientele as it goes through the day and week. Interesting art deco feel in the mezzanine bar with great ceiling and ironwork balustrades Although a quiet pub during the day with muted TV news much like other Wetherspoons, it is much livelier at night. Often when the entrance bar appears very busy the other rooms can be much quieter.
