Mr Thomas's is one of only a handful of Manchester pubs listed in CAMRA's National Inventory Of Historic Pub Interiors. A characterful and traditional pub established in 1867 by Thomas & Sarah Studd (hthe alternative name). Thomas was brother to Samuel Studd of Sams Chop House (Also Manchester). A long, narrow room divided by green tiled arches leads from the entrance to 2 further rooms divided by the same arches at the back. The rear room is a dining area and there is a magnificent ceramic fire place. Check out the traditional bar, tiled floor and many other original features.
Handpulls are on the bar in the front and main rooms, but of the 6 handpumps only 4 are in use.
The pub is famed for its food and is popular with theatre goers to the nearby Royal Exchange Theatre.
