Now a free house in private ownership, and newly decorated, this cosy town centre pub offers a good choice of local cask ales (why not try a flight of three different beers!), plus tea, coffee and various ‘no-lo’ options.

Memorabilia highlights Barrow’s ship and submarine history, with an extensive display of ships’ crests from craft either built in Barrow or which visited the Port is above the bar. The bell used to call Last Orders is an original ARP (Air Raid Precautions) bell from WW2, rung to signal the “All Clear” after an air raid. With teams in a number of the local darts and dominoes leagues, this is a welcoming place for locals and visitors alike.
