After several changes over the last decade, The Garrison is now a Bushy's pub, and has completely reinvented itself. Open at 9am it serves breakfast, then lunches and early evening meals. There are four keg beers also available form Bushy's including the popular Oyster Stout, along with Norseman lager a new Bushy's lager and the 'Goth' beer. The bar is to the front left, with ample seating through archways easing space with ample room for diners. In addition,upstairs there is a unique games room featuring darts and bar billiards, but also with other traditional and more modern games. The space can also be hired out, and increasingly many groups use the building for meetings and get togethers, including a festival committee and yatcht club. The real ales are now almost exclusively Bushy's in this new format. The building dates from as far back as 1640,and is situated directly opposite the historic town castle. There are now extended opening hours throughout the day, every day.
