This small and cosy micropub is a local hub for good beer and good conversation, but note that it can get noisy when packed. There is limited seating and no outdoor drinking space.

It is located down a side alley off the main street and just above the centre of the little town. The five handpumps supply weekly-changing ales, usually from breweries in the surrounding area (Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire), and you can check out the weekly-updated beer menu on social media to inform your visit. Tasting paddles are available.

Opening is extended in the summer season (check their Facebook for weekly updates). The unisex facility is upstairs.

Regular charity fundraising events are advertised on social media and are proving popular and successful. Great cakes served on the special coffee mornings! Private functions welcome.

Closes for Appleby Horse Fair - usually the last week in May until the second weekend in June.
