On the main crossroads and 15 minutes walk from the railway station, this pub was reopened in 2011 after being bought by a local business for the office space above. There is a small tap room to the right of the entrance and a bookable area to the left, while the open plan main bar area has a slightly continental feel. There is an impressive bar counter featuring six handpumps. Quiz night on Tuesday. Outdoor seating on decking is available at the front and rear of the pub. The small car park at the rear has now been replaced by a partially-covered drinking area - the "heated huts".
