See more about this pub on CAMRA's national web site
Large country house on an elevated site, early nineteenth century, converted to a pub with only minimal alterations. Most of the trade is provided by locals. The bar has a large fireplace as big as the counter and great views across Morecambe Bay. Beer pumps are in another room with a list of the four available ales on the wall facing the bar. The smoking area is covered and sheltered. To telephone pub you need to ring twice. A fish-and-chip van is outside some Fridays.
Right next to Eaves Wood but you can't get into the wood from the garden. A gate on the east drive opens onto a path into the wood. The owner of Woodlands gave part of the wood to the National Trust in 1929 and the area they own has been extended several times since.
