Re-opened 23/5/2025 as Sandbar Withington. Not much has changed from its previous owner, apart from the drinks range! Many of the historic features have been retained in its new guise. The interior is open plan. You are greeted by the long green tile fronted bar running into the left hand room, where you will find seven handpulls. One of these will likely be a beer from Courier Brewing, as the owner of both Sandbars is also involved in the brewery. To the left, the large room has a feature fireplace, To the right is a small alcove seating area, then beyond that is the open kitchen. Adjacent to the kitchen is a function room, having a lower ceiling than other areas. This area is available for private hire. Other than the folio wainscoting all round, the upper paintwork is 'distressed', that though makes it appear unfinished as the walls retain a patchwork of previous decoration. There are no TVs, but occasional music events are held. In its former guise as Libertine - Closed 17/12/2022; opened 12/8/2022 in converted former bank premises.
